In the 1870’s and on lots of old farms came and went. This one just east of Ellensburg became a state park. Today’s visit was all about the massive crop of flowers blooming in late May 2016 plus some bonus photos of other things to be seen.
An estate on Gravelly Lake left over from the era of BIG railroad money (late 1880’s) this place is a charming garden available for just walking around or events.
The Delta of the Nisqually River, fresh off the western slopes of Mt. Rainier, is a wildlife refuge. This was a 2 hour walk. It only covered maybe 25% of the trails.
